This beauty was custom built for former NASCAR driver Bobby Fisher and is #5 of 19 that was built out of Richard Petty's garage in Randleman, NC. This Challenger has only 320 actual miles and is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission bolted to an Arrington 625hp supercharged 5.7-liter V8 engine. Outfitted with Brembo brakes, Borla exhaust, carbon-fiber hood and adjustable suspension.
This car is so unique, it was featured in an episode of "Jay Leno's Garage" and STP filmed a television commercial based on this car! Bobby Fisher drove a Petty race car to a second-place finish at Ontario Motor Speedway and other races at Charlotte and Phoenix in the late '70's. The car is adorned with the original signature of Richard Petty appearing in three different locations on the car. All build photos and equipment installed during the build are documented in two binders which are included in the sale.
