Offered here for the ambitious enthusiast is this 1952 MG TD. Although not discovered in a barn, this example has been languishing, undisclosed, in a dry North Phoenix environment for the past 25 years. Only on its second owner from new, this MG has a very interesting history.
Purchased by a US serviceman, it was imported to Germany, and remained there during his deployment. While in Germany this TD was driven to the nostalgic venues of Nurburgring & Hockenheim. It was then imported to the US and sunny, dry Arizona. The first owner had a son attending ASU, so the decision was made to change the livery from the original red finish to the school colors of gold and maroon.
This MG TD is a virtually complete & rust free, left hand drive US version. It hasn’t run in a while, but the engine turns freely, with decent compression.
included with the sale is a fiberglass hardtop, the original soft top bows, side curtains, luggage rack & hand crank.
