1963 Austin Healey 3000 MkII

SOLD

The Austin Healey 3000 Mk II was BMC’s initial attempt to bring their Flagship 3000 into the realm of a comfortable tourer. This endeavor included roll up windows to replace the clumbsy, leaky side curtains, an improved wrap around windscreen and a retractable convertible top vs the “erect it yourself” version on the early examples.

This particular example, one of 6113 produced, has been cosmetically and mechanically restored in the late 1990’s and has logged only 28,000 careful miles, since. Originally black with red leather the former owner changed the livery to a Fiery Red with a contrasting black interior and top. Chrome wire wheels are stunning, wrapped in Michelin radials.

The car runs and drives well and all the dash instruments, switches and auxiliary equipment function as they should, including the electric overdrive transmission. The paint is strong, the panel fit is superb and the interior is Excellent, very neat and tidy. The black canvas top fits well and the rear window is clear with no blemishes.
This Austin Healey 3000 MkII is a pleasure to own and drive. It is always a hit at the classic and sports car events and is complete with a British Heritage Certificate, complete dossier of service and restoration records, car cover, black top boot and shop manual.

Inspection is available by appointment. Please call Tony @ 602-228-8055 for details and information.
