Offered for inspection and consideration is this professionally built 1937 Ford coupe. This beautiful rod was designed and built to be driven and enjoyed.
This coupe is an all steel original body paired with fiberglass fenders and hood mounted on a boxed, reinforced and powdercoated frame. outside door handles have been eliminated and the doors are opened by a remotely controlled solenoid operated latch mechanism. The deck latch is also remote controlled and the deck lid is power operated. The body is excellent with minimum gaps and great panel fit.
The front suspension is a Heidt IRS that has been either powdercoated in body color or chrome plated. The rear suspension starts with an 9" Ford axle and is suspended by coil overs and long trailing arms. The entire undercarriage is, again, either chrome, polished stainless, powder coated or painted body color.
The power comes from a new TPI injected 350 small block (355hp), coupled to a polished and painted 4L60 automatic, overdrive transmission. The rear gear is a 3:73 positraction in a 9" Ford housing. Exhaust is handled by 'Shorty' chrome headers and a polished stainless, full length, rear exit exhaust system. The cooling sytem is handled by a custom aluminum radiator and electric cooling fan. The car rolls on Colorado Custom alloy wheels, (7x16"-9x17") shod with BFG radials, 205/55r16 front and 255/50r17 rear, and is stopped by 4 wheel power assisted disc brakes w/foot mounted park brake
Safety and creature comforts that were included in the build are Vintage a/c and heat, cruise control, polished tilt steering column with custom wheel. Digital instrumentation, Pioneer digital stereo with remote, power windows, one piece windshield, tinted safety glass, hidden dash switches, full leather interior, including custom floor covering, custom grille, billet outside mirrors, hide away rear license plate center high mounted brake light and much more.
