Offered for sale is this 1958 Chrysler 300D coupe. vin:KC41194. This was the final Chrysler 300 "letter" model to use the legendary first generation HEMI motor. The '58 300D used the 375 horsepower 392 cubic inch Hemi engine. The engine breathed through dual 4 barrel carbuetors and power was handled by a 3 speed Torque Flite Transmission.
This particular example was restored in the 90's to a high standard and is in excellent condition. It has been used recently as a willing participant for the 1000 mile intraState, road rallys that are so popular. This car has entered and finshed several 1000 mile rallys in California, Arizona, and Colorado, without a single problem.
This 300D has been upgraded with front disc brakes, and wider wheels and hIgh performance radial tires. The original wheels, tires and wheel covers are included with the sale.
The engine is number matched to the chassis and the car is finished in Arctic white with a complimenting tan interior. Everything on the car works. The body is very straight, with good panel fit and closing gaps. The interior, insturments, bright work and glass is all in excellent condition. If you are into production numbers, there were only 618 Chrysler 300d coupes manufactured for 1958. That is fewer produced than the venerable AC 289 Cobra.
