1969 Porsche 911″S”

'69 Porsche 911S. This was the consumate KING of the Porsches in '69. After a hiatus in '68,  Porsche reintroduced the "S" to the US in '69 with mechanical fuel injection, kerb weight of 2330 pounds and a power output of 190 horsepower, which made for a very attractive power to weight ratio. This particular example was delived to its first owner March 2, 1969 and had a succession of only 5 owners from new. A Porsche factory "Certificate of Authenticity" is included with this sale.

This 911S started out life finished in Silver Metallic (6851) with black interior. The engine was replaced early in its life with a compatable replacement and that engine was completely rebuilt in the mid 1990's. The original engine was type 901.10 engine #6390706. The replacement engine is type 910.10 engine #6390561. The original engine cases, although damaged, have been retained and go with the sale. The exterior of the car has been repainted in the Gulf Racing livery for club events. The bumpers have been stripped of the deco trim and guards and the fog lamps have been removed. The panel fit and closing gaps are very good.

The seats were replaced with Sparco racing seats for club events. A pair of original black leather seats are included with the car as are the original rear seats, door panel boards, door pockets, bumper trim and guards, etc. The car has not been permanently modified or molested in any way. No roll bar, fender flares or dash mods have been performed. The dash is in great shape with no cracks or warpage. All the instruments function as they should. The speedometer shows 160k miles which is believed to be correct. Cross drilled brake rotors have been installed, front and rear. The original dual battery configuration has been retained. The tires are new "V" rated radials mounted on original Fuchs alloy wheels.

This Porsche starts, runs, handles and stops very well and is exhilerating to drive. On close inspection you'll notice Bosch H4 headlamps with Euro headlamp rings. The orginal US spec headlamps and painted surrounds are included with the car.

Also included with this rare find is a documented history from appx 1981 to present, including receipts, articles, documentation, etc.
